Mike Jenkins Joins Team MuscleMag!

On September 6, MuscleMag announced the signing of professional strongman competitor Mike Jenkins as a sponsored athlete
At 6’6’’tall and weighing a massive 390 lbs, it is easy to see why Jenkins has been a fast-rising star among strongmen since turning pro in 2010, after winning the Arnold Classic Amateur Strongman meet.
Earlier this year, Jenkins shocked the world by winning the 2012 Arnold Strongman Classic in only his second attempt (he placed second in 2011). Just two weeks later, he went on to win the Giants Live Competition in Australia, earning him a spot at this year’s World’s Strongest Man.
Aside from his competition wins, the 29-year-old currently holds the world record in the 255-lb. one-arm circus dumbbell press having performed an incredible seven reps! He has also squatted 775 lbs. for 10 reps and his max deadlift is an impressive 825 lbs.
Jenkins, who currently resides in Harrisburg, PA, recently signed an endorsement deal with MHP and is set to have a monthly strongman column in which he discusses what it takes to succeed in one of the world’s toughest sports. So expect to see more of the big man in every issue of MuscleMag!
