Brooklyn native Kai Greene returned home to take the 2011 New York Pro men’s bodybuilding title on May 28, which also saw The Predator return to the winning column after a rough Olympia outing last September. Much more densely muscled than his competitors, Greene combined his trademark free-flowing posing routine, which included several poses while standing on his head, to take his second New York Pro title. The two-time Arnold Classic champion re-establishes himself as a major threat heading into September’s Olympia.

German juggernaut Ronny Rockel, who seemingly never misses his peak, finished second while MuscleMag’s Craig Richardson found the winning formula again in placing third, looking the best he has in years. Rounding out the top five were France’s Lionel Beyeke (fourth) and Las Vegas transplant Robert Burneika (fifth). The top five all qualified for the Olympia.

In a battle down to the wire and the upset of the night, Boston’s Jose Raymond edged out James “Flex” Lewis to take the 202 title.
