Brian Shaw Wins 2011 World’s Strongest Man

Claims title hot off the heels of his first-place finish at the 2011 Arnold Strongman Classic

Brian Shaw has claimed the title of World’s Strongest Man at the eponymous yearly event, which took place between September 15th and 22nd at Wingate University in North Carolina.

The 6 foot 8, 400-pound Shaw, who was tied with former champ Zydrunas Savickas going into the last event, the Atlas Stones, pulled ahead by a full stone to win the overall title for his first time.

Here’s a clip of Shaw, whose height is a perfect match-up for the Atlas Stone event, defeating Savickas.
