Mat Duvall Dead At 40

The bodybuilding community is sad to learn of the death of IFBB Pro Mat Duvall who was found dead in his home of as yet unknown causes

On February 22, 2013, the world lost a great man and the bodybuilding community lost a brother. According to several sources, former NPC superstar and IFBB Pro Mat Duvall was found dead in his bathroom at the age of 40. The cause of death is still unknown, but there are speculations claiming cardiac arrest. Whether you followed Duvall’s NPC career through the 90’s until he earned his pro card in 2003 or knew him best as a professional wrestler, one thing is certain, he will surely be missed.

I just wanted to send my prayers out to Matts family and fans. In 2008 I was introduced to Matt Duvall and worked with him in Ga.
If anyone that trains or had interest Matt would always give good advice and give you positivity in you journey to perfection. This will be a big loss for the community and the sport.

My husband met Matt at the Olympia expo, he signed a copy of a pic for him and told him to never give up, shoot for the stars and don’t let anyone stand in your way of success. He told him good luck and looked forward to seeing us at the next Olympia with bigger gains.
