Australian Pro Results Totally Unpredictable
The 2013 Australian Pro will put bodybuilders’ conditioning and prep to the test and could produce a shakeup in the top 5!

Dexter Jackson, Ben Pakulski, Toney Freeman, Johnnie Jackson, Ed Nunn…are we still talking about the Arnold Classic? Nope. We’re talking about the line-up for the 2013 Australian Pro Grand Prix. This weekend, from Melbourne, Australia, the top three from the Arnold Classic will join eight other hungry giants as they battle it out in the second contest of the IFBB season. On paper, the top five seems like a no-brainer. But in reality, it’s shows like the Australian Pro that are chock-full of surprises and upsets.
Anyone who’s ever flown overseas knows the toll that international travel can take on one’s body. Now imagine that you’re a fine-tuned machine like Big Ben Pakulski who times every meal, meticulously selects every macro and micronutrient and is on a strict training and sleeping schedule coming off a 20 hour flight. Ben, and most of the other North American competitors, have only about four days to recover from jet lag and get their bodies right before hitting the stage on March 9th. Therein lies the beauty of this show! With so many things to factor in, the top 5 spots are literally up for grabs. Moreover, the three Aussies in this year’s contest who don’t have to concern themselves with travel have a definite advantage.
While four-time Arnold Classic champion Dexter Jackson is the clear favorite, it will be interesting to see who’ll be able to hold their conditioning from Columbus, Ohio. This year’s Aussie Pro is not going to be as cut-and-dry as most would think and we could see a shakeup in the top five!
