  • Vasily Alexeev Dies of Heart Complications

    The Olympic weightlifting community lost one of its legends, as Vazily Alexeev has died of a heart ailment. He had been hospitalized in the weeks leading up to his death.

    Alexeev held titles in 1972 and 1976, and it widely recognized as one of the most famous weightlifters in history.
